Youth Archery
YMCA Youth Archery Program
The Hopkinsville Family YMCA conducts two youth archery programs throughout the year.
The first session is over a two-week span in July in the YMCA gym. The classes are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights over two weeks. The dates are set each year. The classes are open to youths ages 7-13 and teach the fundamentals of archery.
The second session is taught over a six-week span in November and December in the YMCA gym. The classes are held on Saturday mornings beginning at 9 a.m. The classes are open to youths ages 7-13 and teach the fundamentals of archery. The dates for the classes are set each year.
Lea Ann Brumfield and Lanie Brumfield are our instructors. They have many years of experience and both are certified to teach the National Archery in the Schools (NASP) program.
The YMCA provides all equipment, although if a participant wants to use their own bow, they may as long as it is a Matthew-Genesis bow.
The cost is $60 for a YMCA member and $75 for a non-member.
