Position Overview:
The Hopkinsville Christian County Family YMCA is seeking a dynamic, motivated Membership Director to oversee our membership services and play a vital role in growing and retaining our Y community. This full-time role requires availability across all shifts—including mornings, days, evenings, and weekends—to ensure comprehensive coverage of our welcome desk, child watch, and fitness departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily operations across the welcome desk, child watch, and fitness departments
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of staff members
- Build and manage department budgets, focusing on efficient resource use and cost-effectiveness
- Lead membership growth initiatives, including developing monthly member appreciation programs and organizing community activities
- Participate in fundraising efforts and develop innovative ways to engage new and existing members
- Plan and implement community engagement activities that align with YMCA values and goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or related experience in a similar role
- Previous supervisory experience in customer service is strongly preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a passion for fostering community and fellowship
Compensation:
