Hopkinsville Family YMCA Pool Rules and Guidelines
All guest passes must go through the welcome center (No RAIN CHECKS OR REFUNDS)
Limited guest passes on Saturday (call before you come)
NO guest passes on Sunday
NO OUTSIDE FOOD or DRINKS (only one bottle of water can be brought in per person) At any time a YMCA staff has the right to check any bags that enter the YMCA.
NO alcohol
NO pool noodles, floats, water guns or water balls
NO running, diving or back flips are permitted
NO PDA
NO horseplay
NO cussing
NO Vaping, smoking or chewing tobacco
Shirts, shorts and shoes must be worn in the facility at all times
Youth 12 and under that want to swim in the 8ft and 10 ft. area must pass a swim test (test will only be given at the half hour)
All lifejackets and swimmers MUST be Coast Guard approved. If they are not, they will not be able to be used. Example attached
Children ages 0-5
- Must remain in shallow water
- Must have an adult 18 years or older in the water within arm’s reach and actively involved in supervision of child
- Adults with multiple children age 0-5 must stay together in the water within arm’s reach of children.
- Children ages 0-5 found in the water without adult supervision and not within reach will be reunited with their responsible adult one time per day. If a child is reunited with his/her responsible adult for a second time in one day, the family will be asked to leave the pool facilities.
Locker Rooms will be locked 15 minutes prior to pool closure. All pool guest must exit through the pool gate once the locker rooms are locked.
In the case of inclement weather, the pool facility will be cleared. No refunds for guest passes.
In the event of an emergency, medical issue, or concern please inform the lifeguard manager on duty at the Red First Aid stand at the gate.
All members and guest will adhere to all facility rules, guidelines and will follow instructions by YMCA lifeguards and management. If rules are not followed, then you and your group will be asked to leave.
